Savory Baked Spaghetti
- 3 Tbsp. salad oil
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 c. water
- 8 oz. spaghetti
- 1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
- In oil in large skillet, slowly cook onions and garlic for 5 minutes.
- Add ground beef and brown.
- Stir in salt, pepper and tomatoes.
- Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
- Add chili powder and water.
- Break half of uncooked spaghetti into greased 2-quart casserole.
- Pour on half of sauce.
- Sprinkle with half of cheese. Break in rest of spaghetti and add remaining sauce and cheese. Bake, covered, at 325u0b0 for 35 minutes.
- Uncover, bake 15 minutes longer or until brown.
