Macaroni With Meat Sauce

  1. Heat fat in a 10-inch skillet.
  2. Add onion and garlic; cook until onion is soft, not brown.
  3. Add meat; break into small pieces.
  4. Cook and stir until lightly browned.
  5. Add next 7 ingredients.
  6. Bring to boil.
  7. Cover; simmer 45 minutes.
  8. Add mushrooms; heat to boiling.
  9. Arrange macaroni on a platter.
  10. Pour sauce over macaroni.
  11. Sprinkle with cheese.
  12. Makes 6 servings.
