Banana Nut Cake(Bread)

  1. Mix and sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
  2. Beat shortening until creamy.
  3. Add sugar gradually and continue beating until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition until fluffy.
  5. Add nuts and beat well.
  6. Stir in vanilla.
  7. Add flour mixture and alternate with bananas and milk a small amount at a time, beating after each addition until smooth. Turn into a well-greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch cake pan.
  8. Bake at 350u0b0 until done, about 55 minutes.
