Steak With Potato Au Gratin And Green Beans

  1. Preheat the oven to 400u0b0F. Grease two small baking dishes with butter. Arrange the potatoes inside the dishes in layers.
  2. Mix 1/2 cup cream, the milk and the nutmeg together and season. Pour over the potatoes then sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 30-45 mins, until the potatoes are tender.
  3. Meanwhile, cook the beans in a saucepan of boiling, salted water for 2 mins, then add the spring onion and cook for a further 2-3 mins. Drain. Heat the butter in a saucepan then add the onion and saute for 3-4 mins. Add the beans to the pan and saute for 1-2 mins.
  4. Heat the oil in a frying pan until its is hot. Sear the steaks for 2-3 mins on each side, or until cooked to your liking. Season then remove from the pan and keep warm. To make the sauce, deglaze the pan with 1/2 cup cream then bring to a boil and simmer for 1-2 mins. Season.
  5. Wrap the beans in green onion to form bundles them place on 2 plates along with the steaks and potato gratin. Drizzle with sauce then serve.
