Rigatoni And Meat Sauce
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, cut up (undrained)
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. Durkee Best Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. (scant) crushed red pepper
- 1/2 (1 lb.) pkg. Creamettes rigatoni (uncooked)
- grated Parmesan cheese
- In a large skillet or Dutch oven, combine ground beef, onion and garlic.
- Cook until ground beef is no longer pink; drain if necessary.
- Stir in next 6 ingredients.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat; simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Prepare rigatoni according to package directions; drain.
- Serve with meat sauce. Top with Parmesan cheese.
- Serves 4 to 6. Refrigerate leftovers.
