Honey Shrimp
- 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
- 1 lb medium raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails intact
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 None small egg, lightly beaten
- 1/3 cup honey, warmed
- None None stir-fried vegetables and cooked jasmine rice, to serve
- In a large frying pan, dry-toast sesame seeds over medium heat for 3 mins, or until lightly browned. Transfer to a small bowl. Combine 1 tbsp seeds and breadcrumbs in a shallow bowl. Season.
- Preheat oven to 425u0b0F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- For each shrimp, lightly coat in flour, shaking off excess. Dip in egg then coat in breadcrumb mixture. Place on prepared tray and bake for 8 mins, or until lightly browned and cooked through.
- Transfer shrimp to a serving bowl and drizzle with honey. Toss gently to combine then sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds. Serve immediately with vegetables and rice.
