Italiano Main Dish Soup

  1. Shape beef into bite size meatballs; brown.
  2. Cook onion with garlic and oregano in a small amount of shortening or beef drippings until tender.
  3. In a large kettle, gradually stir water into bean with bacon soup.
  4. Add remaining ingredients except cheese.
  5. Heat to slow boil and cook until cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve with cheese.
