Chicken Casserole
- 1 pkg. boneless chicken breasts
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 c. shredded cheese (Monterey Jack and Cheddar)
- 8 oz. (approximately) spirals or shells pasta (enough pasta to fill a 13 x 9-inch pan)
- 1 or 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 small cans sliced mushrooms
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. Miracle Whip
- 1 can Durkee French fried onions (optional)
- Saute onions and garlic until softened.
- Add the cubed chicken and brown; drain the fat and add the mushrooms.
- Mix together with the cooked noodles and then add the remaining ingredients except the cheese and Durkee onions.
- Mix thoroughly and spread into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
- Bake in 350u0b0 oven until bubbly; top with cheese and Durkee onions.
- Broil until cheese is melted.
