Walnut Bread With Coffee Icing

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Lightly grease and line a 10x4 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, butter, milk and coffee. Stir over medium heat until melted. Set aside. Sift flour and cinnamon into a large bowl. Add eggs, butter mixture and chopped walnuts. Transfer to prepared pan and bake for 15 mins. Sprinkle remaining walnuts over top and bake for 25-30 mins, until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Invert onto a wire rack to cool.
  3. Meanwhile, to make the icing, stir coffee, powdered sugar and butter over a double boiler until smooth. Drizzle over cake. Slice and serve.
