Pepper Steak With Mushrooms

  1. Brown beef cubes in shortening; remove from pan.
  2. Blend in flour to make a smooth paste.
  3. Add catsup, water, soy sauce, pepper, bouillon cube, garlic and onion; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat; simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Add beef to sauce; cook until tender.
  6. Add mushrooms, peppers and onions (rings); cook for about 10 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  7. Do not add salt or Accent. Serve immediately with rice.
