Stuffed Green Peppers(Microwave Recipe)
- 6 medium green peppers
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/3 c. precooked rice (uncooked)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato soup (undiluted)
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck, browned
- 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
- Cut a slice from stem end of each pepper.
- Remove seeds and membrane.
- Combine salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, rice, eggs, 3/4 cup soup, onion and ground beef.
- Stir lightly.
- Pack each pepper with 1/2 cup of mixture.
- Place filled peppers in a round microwave casserole.
- (Peppers should fit tightly.)
- Pour remaining soup over filled peppers.
- Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave at High 15 to 18 minutes.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Let stand, covered, for 2 to 3 minutes.
