Pear And Almond Pie
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup sweetened flaked coconut
- 1 cup milk
- 8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, melted
- 4 None eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
- 1 can (15 oz) pear slices in heavy syrup, drained and chopped
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- None None Vanilla ice cream, to serve
- Preheat the oven to 350u0b0F. Grease a 9 inch pie plate.
- Sift flour and cinnamon into a large bowl. Stir in sugar and coconut. Whisk milk, butter, eggs and syrup in a medium bowl. Stir into flour just until blended. Stir in pears. Pour into the prepared dish. Sprinkle with almonds.
- Bake for 35-40 mins or until golden brown and set. Cool on a wire rack for 15 mins. Serve with ice cream.
