Macaroni And Cheese(Serves 4 To 6)

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. In a quart pan, combine water and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  3. Cover and bring to a boil.
  4. Add macaroni slowly, so that water continues to boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 8 to 9 minutes.
  6. Drain macaroni in colander.
  7. Place macaroni in a 1-quart casserole dish.
  8. Stir in butter, egg, salt, dry mustard and 2 1/2 cups of the grated cheese.
  9. Stir until evenly mixed.
  10. Pour milk over macaroni mixture.
  11. Top casserole with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
  12. Cover with foil.
  13. Cook for 20 minutes.
  14. Uncover casserole and cook another 10 to 12 minutes.
