Macaroni And Cheese(Serves 4 To 6)
- 1 c. dry macaroni
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 3 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 c. milk
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- In a quart pan, combine water and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- Cover and bring to a boil.
- Add macaroni slowly, so that water continues to boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 8 to 9 minutes.
- Drain macaroni in colander.
- Place macaroni in a 1-quart casserole dish.
- Stir in butter, egg, salt, dry mustard and 2 1/2 cups of the grated cheese.
- Stir until evenly mixed.
- Pour milk over macaroni mixture.
- Top casserole with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
- Cover with foil.
- Cook for 20 minutes.
- Uncover casserole and cook another 10 to 12 minutes.
