Creepy Chocolate Cupcakes
- 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 None large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup milk
- -1 None Buttercream Frosting
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- None None orange food coloring
- 24 None mini M&M's, to decorate
- 12 None Ferrero Rocher chocolate, halved, to decorate
- None None black decorating writing gel, to decorate
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Line a 12-cup muffin pan with orange paper liners.
- In a stand mixer, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour and cocoa powder together. Fold into batter, alternating with milk. Distribute between paper liners and bake for 25 mins, until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Meanwhile, to make the buttercream frosting, cream butter until pale. Beat in 1/2 the sugar, milk then remaining sugar. Tinto orange with food coloring then spread over cooled cupcakes. Decorate with mini M&M's, Ferrero Rocher chocolates and black writing gel. Serve.
