Simple Satisfying Lasagna With Tomato Sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 None onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 None whole peeled tomatoes, diced
- 2 tsp brown sugar

- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups white cheese sauce
- 1 tsp whole-grain mustard
- None None fresh lasagna sheets, blanched for 1-2 mins until softened
- None None grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh Italian parsley leaves
- For the tomato sauce, heat olive oil in a saucepan over low heat. Sweat onion and garlic for 3-4 mins, until softened. Add wine and cook until reduced by 1/2. Add tomatoes and sugar. Season. Simmer, covered, for 10 mins.
- For the lasagna, heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Brown ground beef then add tomato sauce and simmer for 10 mins. Meanwhile, mix together cheese sauce and mustard.
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Line a large baking dish with lasagna sheets. Top with 1/2 of ground beef mixture. Cover with lasagna sheets then spread 1/2 the cheese sauce over top. Repeat layers, ending with cheese sauce. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 30-40 mins, until golden brown. Serve sprinkled with parsley.
