Layered Lemon Crumb Bars(Makes 36 Bars)
- 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
- 1/2 c. ReaLemon lemon juice from concentrate
- 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
- 2/3 c. margarine or butter, softened
- 1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
- 1 c. oats
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0 (325u0b0 for glass dish).
- In small mixing bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, ReaLemon and rind; set aside.
- In large mixer bowl, beat margarine and sugar until fluffy.
- Add flour, oats, baking powder and salt; mix until crumbly.
- Spread half the oat mixture into lightly greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
- Press down firmly.
