Jalapeno Corn Bread

  1. Brown ground beef and drain.
  2. Mix corn meal, salt and soda with creamed corn, eggs and milk.
  3. Put cast-iron skillet in a 350u0b0 oven with 2 tablespoons oil and 2 tablespoons corn meal sprinkled on surface.
  4. Heat until corn meal turns a golden brown.
  5. Mix chopped onion and jalapeno with corn bread mixture.
  6. Pour 1/2 corn bread mixture into hot skillet.
  7. Spread ground beef over corn bread, then Cheddar cheese on top of meat.
  8. Cover with remaining corn bread mixture.
  9. Bake at 350u0b0 for 50 minutes.
  10. Let set for 15 minutes before cutting.
  11. Enjoy!
