White Chocolate And Pecan Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 350u0b0F. Lightly grease an 8-inch round cake pan. Line bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer until pale. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla.
  3. Fold in flour and custard powder alternately with milk, until well combined. Lightly fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Spoon into prepared pan and smooth top.
  4. Bake for 25-30 mins, until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 5 mins. Remove from pan; cool completely on a wire rack.
  5. Mix cream and chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water (bowl must not touch water). Cook, stirring, for 4-5 mins, until smooth. Cool slightly.
  6. Drizzle cake with chocolate sauce and sprinkle with additional pecans.
