Strawberries And Cream Dessert
- 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
- 1 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 (4 serving) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 c. (1 pt.) whipping cream, whipped
- 1 (12 oz.) prepared loaf pound cake, cut into cubes (about 6 c.)
- 1 qt. fresh strawberries, cleaned, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 c. strawberry preserves
- additional fresh strawberries
- toasted, slivered almonds
- In large bowl, combine milk and water.
- Add pudding mix and beat well.
- Chill 5 minutes.
- Fold in whipped cream.
- Spoon 2 cups pudding mixture into 4-quart glass serving bowl.
- Top with half each of the cake cubes, sliced strawberries, preserves and remaining pudding.
- Repeat layering, ending with pudding.
- Garnish with strawberries and almonds.
- Chill thoroughly.
- Refrigerate leftovers.
