Maple Monkey Bread
- 3/4 c. maple syrup
- 1/3 c. melted butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 (11 oz.) pkg. refrigerated bread sticks
- 4 tsp. cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Combine syrup and melted butter in a saucepan and mix well.
- Heat until bubbly.
- Add nuts to this mixture.
- Separate breadsticks by slicing rolled dough in half. Combine the sugar and cinnamon.
- Generously grease a tube pan or a bread pan.
- Pour a small amount of syrup mixture into bottom of pan (enough to cover bottom).
- Dip pieces of dough into remaining syrup mixture, coating well, then roll in the cinnamon sugar and place in the tube pan.
- Pour remaining syrup mixture on top of dough.
- Bake about 35 minutes or until dough is light brown, covering with foil for the last 10 minutes to prevent overbrowning.
- Let stand 1 minute only.
- Invert onto a serving platter.
- Serve warm.
