Macaroni Bake With Sausage And Corn
- 14 oz macaroni
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 can (15 oz) corn kernels, drained
- 8 oz spicy Italian sausages, cooked and sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Preheat the oven to 350u0b0F. Lightly grease four 1 1/2-cup ramekins.
- Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water according to package directions. Drain well; return to pan.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in a medium saucepan on high heat. Add flour and cook, stirring, 1 min. Remove from heat. Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth. Return to heat and cook, stirring until sauce boils and thickens. Reduce heat to low and simmer 3 mins. Stir in Cheddar cheese and season to taste.
- Add cheese sauce, corn and sausage to pasta. Mix well and spoon evenly into ramekins. Mix breadcrumbs, mozzarella cheese and parsley in small bowl; sprinkle on pasta mixture. Place ramekins on a baking pan.
- Bake 10-15 mins, until golden and bubbly.
