Football Cupcakes

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until pale. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla extract. Fold in flour alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Distribute between paper liners and bake for 15-20 mins, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  3. Meanwhile, to make the icing, beat butter until creamy. Gradually beat in powdered sugar and milk. Use food coloring to color icing. Spread over cooled cupcakes in a football shape.
  4. Use black writing gel or licorice to create "laces." Decorate with mini button-shaped chocolates.
