Aussie-Style Burger
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 1 None egg, lightly beaten
- 4 None burger buns, halved, toasted
- 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
- 4 slices cheese
- 4 large slices pickled beets
- 4 None canned pineapple rings
- 2 None tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 4 None eggs, fried
- 1 None red onion, thinly sliced
- Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley and beaten egg in a large bowl. Season to taste. Shape mixture into 4 patties. Place on a plate. Cover and refrigerate for 15 mins until firm.
- Preheat the grill to medium. Grill burgers for 3-5 mins on each side or until cooked through.
- Spread one side of each burger bun with barbecue sauce. Top with lettuce, burger, cheese, beets, pineapple, tomato, fried egg and red onion. Top with remaining half of bun.
