Hawaiian Pizza
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 oz dried yeast
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- 1/3 lb canned chopped tomatoes with herbs
- 1 None small pineapple, peeled, cored and cut into small chunks
- 1/3 lb cooked ham slices
- 1/3 lb mozzarella, sliced
- 1/4 lb Monterey Jack or Gouda cheese, grated
- 1-2 stalks oregano, finely chopped
- Sift the flour into a bowl and add the yeast. Add a pinch of salt, then pour in 1/2 cup of lukewarm water and the olive oil. Mix to form a smooth dough, using either the dough hook of a food processor or your hands. Shape the dough into a ball, cover the bowl and leave to rise in a warm place for about 30 mins.
- On a floured work surface, roll the dough into a 10 inch circle, then lift onto a greased baking sheet. Season the chopped tomatoes with salt and pepper, then spread over the pizza dough, leaving a border around the edge, then distribute the pineapple, ham and mozzarella on top. Sprinkle with the grated cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 400u0b0F for about 25 mins. Garnish with the oregano and serve immediately.
