Easy Spaghetti And Meatballs

  1. In a large, deep frying pan, heat oil over high heat. Saute onion for 2-3 mins, until tender. Transfer 1/2 the onion to a food processor.
  2. Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and saute for 1 min. Stir in tomato puree, 1/2 cup water, wine, vinegar and sugar. Simmer for 4-5 mins. Season to taste.
  3. Meanwhile, add ground pork, bread, cheese, bacon, oregano, capers, fennel seeds and lemon zest to food processor. Process until combined. Season to taste. Using wet hands, roll into walnut-size meatballs.
  4. Add meatballs to simmering sauce and cook for 8-10 mins, until cooked through and sauce thickens. Serve over hot spaghetti with extra Parmesan.
