Chocolate Hazelnut Crescents

  1. Preheat the oven to 400u0b0F. Grease and line 2 baking pans with parchment paper. Sift the flour into a large bowl. Stir in the sugar. Rub in the butter to make fine crumbs.
  2. Make a well in the center and add the milk. Stir mixture until it forms a soft dough, adding 1-2 tbsp more milk if needed.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead briefly until smooth. Shape into a 3/4 inch-thick round. Turn the dough onto a large piece of parchment paper. Roll the dough out to a 16 x 12-inch rectangle, about 1/8 inch-thick.
  4. Spread the dough with chocolate hazelnut spread and sprinkle evenly with nuts. Cut the dough in half lengthwise.
  5. Cut each strip into 6 triangles with 4-inch bottoms. Discard the leftover dough. Roll up to enclose the filing and shape into a crescent. Place the crescents on the prepared trays.
  6. Bake for 20 mins or until golden-brown. Cool in pan 5 mins. Remove from pan; completely on wire rack. Dust with sifted powdered sugar to serve.
