Hot Sauce(Salsa)
- 1 (15 oz.) can diced tomatoes
- 1/4 (4 oz.) can mild jalapenos (optional)
- 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
- 2 to 4 fresh Serrano peppers, chopped
- 1/4 large white onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
- If you like chunky salsa, chop up peppers, onion and cilantro, and combine all ingredients.
- Let stand in refrigerator for 1 hour before serving.
- If you like smooth salsa, place ingredients in a blender or food processor; process until pureed.
- You control how hot the sauce is by the amount of peppers.
- The sauce will keep in the refrigerator for approximately 2 weeks.
