Pear And Almond Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 350u0b0F. Lightly grease and line bottom of a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange pear slices evenly in bottom of pan. Drizzle with maple syrup. Set aside.
  3. Combine ground almonds and flour in a large bowl. Whisk eggs, brown sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl. Mix in butter. Add to almond mixture and lightly fold together. Pour over pears in pan.
  4. Bake 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 mins. Invert onto wire rack; cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar.
