Fruit Cocktail Cookies

• 1 c. shortening
• 1 large can fruit cocktail (drain 2 1/2 oz.)
• 1 c. brown sugar, packed
• 1/2 c. white sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 c. nut meats
• 4 c. flour
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 tsp. soda
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp. cloves

1. Combine the shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
2. Shut off mixer
3. andtdd fruit cocktail by hand.
4. Sift together the flour, all
5. spices,
6. baking
7. powder and soda.
8. Add to ingredients.
9. Drop bytpoonfuls
10. on
11. greased cookie sheet and bake. Dough can
12. be used
13. right
14. away or refrigerate.
15. Do not place cookie dough to close together on cookie sheet because cookies will spread while baking.
16. Bake at 375u0b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
