Sesame John Dory With Beer Battered Sweet Potato Fries

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, paprika and beer. Set aside.
  2. Combine sesame seeds and flour in a shallow medium bowl. Coat fish fillets in sesame mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a large deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook fish, in batches, until browned on both sides and cooked through. Cover to keep warm.
  4. Meanwhile, heat extra oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Dip sweet potato slices in beer batter, draining off excess. Deep-fry sweet potatoes, in batches, until crisp and tender. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve sweet potatoes topped with fish and lime wedges.
