Kahlua Almond Tiramisu
- 1 tbsp instant coffee powder
- 1/4 cup plus 1 tbsp Kahlua
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups mascarpone cheese
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 pkg (7 oz each) savoiardi ladyfingers (24 ladyfingers)
- 4 oz amaretti cookies, roughly crushed
- 3 oz semi-sweet chocolate, grated
- Stir 1 cup boiling water and coffee in a small bowl until coffee dissolves. Cool. Stir in 1 tbsp Kahlua.
- Beat heavy cream in large bowl with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Beat mascarpone, 1/4 cup Kahlua and sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer until smooth. Fold in 1/2 the whipped cream.
- Dip 1/3 ladyfingers into coffee mixture and arrange in bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/4 of the amaretti cookies. Spread with 1/3 of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat layers 2 more times using remaining ingredients. Top with remaining whipped cream.
- Refrigerate tiramisu for at least 3 hours. Serve sprinkled with remaining amaretti cookies and grated chocolate.
