Crisp Apple And Almond Cookies
- 3 None egg whites
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup whole blanched almonds
- 1 cup finely chopped dried apples
- Preheat the oven to 350u0b0F. Grease and line a 10 x 3-inch baking pan with parchment paper, extending paper above long sides for handles.
- Beat the egg whites and sugar in a medium bowl with an electric mixer until the sugar dissolves. Fold in the sifted flour then the cinnamon, nuts and apple. Spread into the prepared pan.
- Bake for about 30 mins. Cool in pan 10 mins. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 300u0b0F.
- Using a serrated knife, slice the cooled bread thinly. Place the slices on baking pans. Bake for about 15 mins or until crisp. Remove from pans; cool completely on wire rack.
