Caramelized Onion, Salami And Tomato Pastries

  1. Preheat the oven to 400u0b0F. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. Cut out rounds from pastry with a 1 3/4-inch round cookie cutter. Arrange on prepared pan. Bake for 5-10 mins until golden and puffed. Using fingertip, gently press center of pastry to make an indentation.
  3. For the topping, heat butter and oil in a skillet on medium heat. Cook onion and garlic for 5-10 mins until tender. Stir in vinegar and sugar, and cook, stirring, for 2-3 mins. Add salami, tomatoes and oregano. Mix well.
  4. Place a piece of brie on each pastry round. Top with an even amount of salami mixture. Serve warm.
