Easy Pineapple Sherbet

  1. Drain crushed pineapple, reserving 3/4 cup juice.
  2. Set pineapple aside.
  3. Combine reserved mixture juice, 1 1/4 cups pineapple juice and sugar in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring occasionally, 3 minutes, or until sugar dissolves.
  5. Pour into a large bowl; cover and chill.
  6. Stir in carbonated beverage and milk.
  7. Pour into freezer container of a 5-quart hand-turned or electric freezer.
  8. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
  9. Transfer to a large bowl; fold in crushed pineapple.
  10. Store in freezer.
  11. Yields 6 1/4 cups (113 calories, 1% from fat, per 3/4-cup serving).
