Cinnamon Sticky Buns

  1. Soften yeast in warm water. Add milk, shortening, sugar and salt.
  2. Cool to lukewarm.
  3. Add 1 cup flour and beat well. Add yeast and egg.
  4. Gradually add remaining flour to make soft dough, mixing well. Cover and let rise until double (1 1/2 hours). Roll out half of the recipe on floured surface.
  5. Put mixture of 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter and 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon over top. Roll like jelly roll and seal ends. Cut into 1 to 2-inch slices and place in prepared pan.
