Lamb Shanks - Oven Roast
- 2 lamb shanks
- 1/2 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 1 clove garlic (to each shank)
- flour, salt and paprika
- vegetable oil
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 2 bay leaves
- 6 peppercorns
- sweet potatoes
- frozen string beans
- Cut a slit in each shank and insert clove of garlic.
- Roll shanks in flour, salt and paprika and brown in oil.
- Remove shanks to large baking pan.
- Add lemon juice to frying pan and mix with brown bits and gravy.
- Add bay leaves and peppercorns.
- Pour this over shanks.
- Cover and bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour.
- Add quartered sweet potatoes, green beans and salt.
- Cover and bake until meat is well cooked.
- Allow one shank per person.
