Ham Casserole
- 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 c. milk
- 1 c. American cheese, grated
- 1/4 c. slivered blanched almonds
- 3 medium potatoes, cooked and sliced
- 1 can green beans, cooked
- 2 c. diced cooked ham
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- Melt
- 1/4
- cup margarine; stir in flour.
- Gradually add milk, stirring
- constantly until thickened.
- Add cheese; cook slowly until
- melted.
- Add
- almonds.
- Arrange
- potatoes
- in greased
- 2 1/2-quart casserole; cover with green beans.
- Pour half the cheese sauce over green beans; add ham and remaining sauce.
- Melt remaining
- margarine;
- mix
- with
- bread
- crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole.
- Bake
- for 30 to 35 minutes at 350u0b0. Serves 4 to 6.
