Raisin Spice Drops
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 3/4 c. butter, softened
- 2/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2/3 c. granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. Quaker oats (quick or old fashioned), uncooked
- 2/3 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease cookie sheet.
- In medium bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, soda, salt and nutmeg.
- In large bowl, beat together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Blend in eggs and vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients; mix well.
- Stir in oats, raisins and nuts.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheet.
- Bake about 8 minutes or until a light brown.
- Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire cooling rack.
- Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
