Royal Philadelphia Cinnamon Buns

  1. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
  2. To this cut in the shortening.
  3. To this add milk and egg mixture.
  4. Stir until makes a soft dough.
  5. Roll out very thin.
  6. Spread softened butter over dough.
  7. Sprinkle with brown sugar, raisins and cinnamon. Begin at edge nearest you and roll up like you would a jelly roll. Cream 6 tablespoons butter and 6 tablespoons brown sugar and spread thickly on bottom and sides of baking pan or skillet.
  8. With sharp knife cut the dough in 2 inch pieces and place in pan with cut side up.
  9. Let stand 20 minutes.
  10. Cook at 425u0b0 for 25 minutes.
  11. Remove at once, upside-down.
