Leslie'S Brisket

  1. In a roaster on top of the stove, slice 2 onions; sprinkle with salt (optional), pepper, garlic and flour.
  2. Add 1/2 cup water.
  3. Cover.
  4. Cook on very low flame 1/2 hour.
  5. Add meat.
  6. Turn a few times and add another 1/2 cup water and one can tomato sauce.
  7. Turn a few times and cook 2 hours.
  8. Take meat out and cool.
  9. Slice potatoes into pot.
  10. Slice cooled meat.
  11. Place on top of potatoes.
  12. Cook 45 minutes more.
  13. Add water, if necessary.
