The Best Toll House Cookies
- 1 c. softened butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 2 1/2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
- 1/2 regular size Hershey bar
- 12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Mix together the first 3 ingredients. Add the well beaten eggs.
- Stir in the salt, baking soda, baking powder, vanilla and flour.
- Next, using a blender, grind to a fine powder the oatmeal. Add the Hershey bar, which has been frozen. Blend this to a fine powder.
- Add the blender contents to the first mixture.
- Add the chocolate chips and nuts.
- Mix everything together.
- Place golf ball size cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake about 10 to 13 minutes, no more.
