Soft Molasses Cookies

  1. In a large bowl cream together butter, shortening and sugar until light colored and fluffy.
  2. Beat in molasses and eggs, set mixture aside.
  3. In another large bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, ginger, cloves and cinnamon. Blend thoroughly with a wire whisk.
  4. Gradually mix flour mixture into creamed ingredients until dough is blended and smooth.
  5. Roll dough into 1 1/2 inch balls. Dip tops in sugar, place 2 1/2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 350u0b0 for 11 minutes.
