Apple Strudel

  1. Beat
  2. eggs
  3. lightly,
  4. add melted butter, water, vinegar and salt.
  5. Then gradually add liquid mixture to flour.
  6. Knead until dough
  7. is
  8. very
  9. elastic
  10. and
  11. does
  12. not stick to bowl. Divide into 5 balls, put in pan and cover with cloth.
  13. Put in warm place and let stand about 30 minutes.
  14. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Core
  15. and slice 18 apples (peeling optional) and add 3/4 cup
  16. or more sugar for each strudel.
  17. Add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon for each strudel
  18. (in
  19. bowl
  20. mix
  21. sugar and cinnamon together).
  22. Three cups filling
  23. for 5 strudels.
  24. Mix a little of each:
  25. corn
  26. flakes, vanilla
  27. wafers
  28. and graham crackers. Mix together 5 cups pecans (chopped small), 5 cups coconut and raisins (optional).
