Cranberry Swirl Coffee Cake
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 tsp. almond flavoring
- 8 oz. can whole cranberry sauce
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 3/4 c. confectioners sugar
- 2 to 3 tsp. warm water
- 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
- Cream butter and sugar well.
- Add eggs, baking powder, baking soda, flour, salt, sour cream and almond flavoring, blending well.
- Layer half of the batter in a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
- Spread half of the cranberry sauce and sprinkle half of the nuts on top.
- Add remaining batter and top with the rest of the cranberry sauce and nuts.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 50 to 55 minutes. Cool and remove from pan.
- Drizzle with glaze made by combining:
butter, sugar, eggs, baking powder, baking soda, flour, salt, sour cream, almond flavoring, cranberry sauce, walnuts, confectioners sugar, warm water, almond flavoring
