Seven Layer Dip
- 2 (8 oz.) containers sour cream
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. finely minced onion
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
- 1 jar salsa
- 8 oz. grated Monterey Jack cheese
- shredded lettuce
- diced tomatoes
- sliced black olives
- Blend sour cream and cream cheese.
- Layer on bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Mix avocado with lemon juice and garlic.
- Blend in onion, salt and pepper; layer next.
- Prepare hamburger as directed on taco mix package.
- When cool, layer next.
- Spread salsa on top of hamburger.
- Sprinkle grated Jack cheese on top of salsa (you can heat dip at this point).
- Sprinkle shredded lettuce over cheese, then tomatoes and black olives.
- Spread thin layer of sour cream on top.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
