Wilted Deli Cole Slaw(Serves 8 To 10)

  1. Cabbage is best if shredded in long, very thin shreds.
  2. In a large 3-quart bowl, layer cabbage, green pepper and onion.
  3. In saucepan combine remaining ingredients.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Heat just to boiling, stirring.
  6. Pour over slaw.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap.
  8. Let stand a couple hours (or overnight).
  9. Then refrigerate.
  10. Just before serving, toss salad thoroughly.
