Doves In Wine

  1. Wash
  2. doves
  3. good
  4. in cold water; drain well.
  5. Pat dry. Split down middle.
  6. Mix together flour, salt, pepper, paprika and basil.
  7. Dredge doves in flour mixture.
  8. Put melted butter and garlic
  9. inteavy
  10. Dutch oven or skillet, covered.trown doves over
  11. medium-high
  12. heat.
  13. Pour
  14. bouillon
  15. and wine over doves, cover.
  16. Simmer, stirring frequently, for about an hour. Add mushrooms
  17. and
  18. orange
  19. juice;
  20. simmer
  21. 6 minutes longer. Thicken pan juice with a little flour.
  22. Serve hot.
