Buffalo Meatballs In A Sweet & Spicy Orange Sauce
- 2 lbs 80% lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley (Chopped)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon Mexican chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup Frank's red hot sauce
- 4 garlic cloves (Minced)
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 tablespoon sambal oelek chili paste
- 2 garlic cloves (Minced)
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 2 oranges, juice of
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons creme fraiche
- Place Ground Chuck in a large bowl. Mix the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl. Combine the bread crumb mixture to the Ground Chuck and mix well. Roll golf ball size meatballs and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes, turning meatballs half way.
- Saute the sambal and garlic in the 1 tablespoon canola oil for about 1 minute. Add orange zest and juice. Stir to combine. Add cayenne pepper and brown sugar. Stir to combine. Add chicken broth and bring mixture to a simmer. Reduce mixture by half. Add the creme friache and stir to combine. Add meatballs to mixture.
