Poor Man'S Steak
- 1 (10 oz.) can onion soup
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. fine dry breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, fork beaten
- dash of salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. ketchup
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. mustard
- Combine 1/3 cup soup with ground beef.
- Add breadcrumbs, egg, salt and pepper.
- Shape into six oval patties in a frying pan. Brown patties.
- Drain off fat.
- Blend flour in remaining soup; mix until smooth.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Blend well.
- Add to frypan.
- Heat to boil.
- Stir to loosen up.
- Cover for 5 minutes on low heat.
- Then add patties to gravy in same pan.
- Bake in 375u0b0 oven for 20 to 30 minutes, until meat is done.
- Serves 6. Also easy to freeze for fast heat up meals.
