Easy Chicken And Dumplings

  1. Cut chicken into pieces in Dutch oven.
  2. Add water until chicken pieces are covered.
  3. Bring to boil; simmer until chicken is done.
  4. Remove chicken from broth (saving broth).
  5. Cool, skin and debone, shredding chicken into strips.
  6. Bring broth back to a boil.
  7. Add dumplings, a few at a time, returning to a boil after each addition.
  8. After all dumplings are added, bring to a boil and simmer at medium heat for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  9. Add chicken pieces, celery salt, stick of butter and pepper to taste.
  10. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  11. Let stand about 15 minutes (will thicken the longer it stands).
  12. You can add 1 cup of chicken bouillon for extra flavor.
  13. It is easy and delicious!
  14. Serves 10.
